In this study, I wanted to dig more into the history of texture of clothing and how it can be used to stylize artwork.

I went back to Egyptian art. Notice how there isn’t perspective on the pattern on the clothing. It does not bend around the body:

Same for the pattern on the cheetah:

This made a comeback during the Art Nouveau movement:
